This is an introductory article to a series of articles based on NYC’s attractions, and landmarks.

• History: Carnegie Hall was made by the steel industrialist Andrew Carnegie. His wife was a soprano who sang at the Oratorio Society, so Andrew Carnegie went on to build Carnegie Hall for her. His wife met him through her father when he was 45. She was 23, and an inspiration for the construction of Carnegie Hall.

• Architecture: William Burnet Tuthill was a very successful American Architect, and he went on to design one of the most famous concert halls in the country, and designed a building with the best acoustics on the planet, yet it would surprise you to hear that he had never in his entire life up to that point, designed a concert hall. He achieved both beauty and quality.

• Today: Other than possessing the best acoustics on the planet and serving as a wonderful tourist attraction and landmark, Carnegie Hall has invited many wonderful artists to the stage. Artists all across different genres, such as Rock ‘n Roll, Pop, Carols, Rap, R&B, Classical music, and contemporary music have shared their music. Bands like The Beatles performed in Carnegie Hall, and the Carnegie legacy lives on.
