‎ ‎ ‎March Eighth is known as International Women’s Day. To celebrate, here are some of the most influential and important women throughout history. Some might not be as famous as others but they all contributed to our society.

‎ ‎ ‎ Cleopatra, the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, is one of the most well-known female figures in history. She wasn’t only a powerful queen but also a skilled diplomat and a great warrior. Cleopatra’s relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony played a crucial role in the politics of the Roman Republic. She was effective in communicating with both Egyptians and Romans alike. She used her ability to build alliances and maintain Egypt's independence.

‎ ‎ ‎Joan of Arc, aka the Maid of Orléans, was a French heroine who played a pivotal role during the Hundred Years’ War between France and England. She claimed that she had received divine guidance, which led her to support Charles VII and ultimately contributed to his coronation. Joan of Arc’s bravery and leadership on the battlefield made her an enduring symbol of French unity.

‎ ‎ ‎Marie Curie was a pioneering physicist and chemist who conducted groundbreaking research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and remains the only person to have won Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields (Physics and Chemistry). Curie’s discoveries revolutionized our understanding of atomic structure and laid the foundation for modern nuclear physics.

‎ ‎ ‎Rosa Parks was an African American civil rights activist whose refusal to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955. Her act of defiance became a symbol of the civil rights movement in the United States and inspired countless others to stand up against racial injustice.

‎ ‎ ‎Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. Despite facing threats from the Taliban for her advocacy work, Malala continued to speak out for girls’ right to education. Her resilience and courage have made her a global symbol of peaceful protest and youth empowerment.

‎ ‎ ‎These women represent just a few examples of the many influential and important figures throughout history who have left an indelible mark on society through their actions, achievements, and advocacy.

It’s a time to remember that girls can do anything they set their minds to, and it’s important to treat everyone fairly no matter if they’re a boy or a girl. Cool, right?

‎ ‎ ‎This is recognized as the first design for Duo, Luis Vohn Ahn was adamant about having a mascot for the company which they created immediately. However the Typograph of this character design was not so interesting.

‎ ‎ ‎The new features of this design would be more 3D like as well as a beak. Which most viewers decided the design as “got this kind of creepier textured version like if they were piercing at your soul..” -Murphy.

‎ ‎ ‎This design was described as hard to create for the character designer and described him as having an “Identity crisis”- Murphy. They now wanted to show him more a gameplay version to attract others. Which worked with gathering attention from viewers with this much simpler design.

‎ ‎ ‎Duo has unlocked the ability show emotions through notification and this was his era where he was iconic in TikTok and went viral through his blunt tweets to fans. Developers made this design for him to be easier to animate with gameplays to learn languages.

She was england's first royal queen to rule without a male by herself side to keep her in track. She was known as well for her intense devout commitment for Catholic. Which ehr rage was awoken by English Protestants splintered the church. She had excreted hundreds of Protestants that disagreed with her religion. Many people believed her to be the inspiration for this horrendous ritual for Bloody Mary. Of course, there is much more depictions on her, but the public view mainly believe that she was originated from the daughter of King Henry The Eighth. Many believe the story begins with Mary I, who was the heir to the throne as the eldest daughter of King Henry VIII. Mary Tudor is considered the muse, or inspiration, for this horrendous Bloody Mary legend. She was England's first royal queen to rule as Queen Regnant, getting to power through inheritance and not marriage. She is known for her intense, devout commitment for Catholicism, and for targeting English Protestants who splintered from the Church during her reign. Mary I had hundreds of Protestants executed for disagreeing with her religion. Of course, there are other versions of some malicious, supernatural entity referred to as Bloody Mary.
