Is this Lego’s best 2D ANIMATION?!!

Monkey King - Monkey king or rather Sun Wukong, goes by multiple titles, such as; The Stone Monkey, The Great Sage Equal To Heaven or just Monkey King. He is known from the Journey to the west in being a mischievous stone monkey born from a rock to later be a disciple to be immortal. Once he became a disciple he spent centuries there or acting how to gain the 72 transformations. This whoever was recognized as a very frowned upon technique along the gods where Wukong soon began stealing the immortal peaches from making him double immortal. However he also stole from Heavens kitchen to grab wine. Which the was also enchanted to promising immortality tripled Wukong’s immortality. However the peaches were made for a special banquet casted for the Jade Emperor (Ruler of Heavens) obviously, this angered the Jade Emperor because his banquet was ruined as well for Wukong drinking all the wine and peaches. However, the voice of reason, “ The god of Venus” has suggested The Jade Emperor to show mercy to Wukong’s den allow them a place in the heavens so they can calm him down. Which then Wukong received the title of a horse keeper by the Jade Emperor. He didn’t notice the ranking of being so low till he started and created a havoc in heaven in response to this. Out of fear the Jade Emperor allowed the name “The Great Sage Equal To Heaven” to be entitled to Sun Wukong. However that wasn’t enough as he wanted to battle the Jade Emperor. Here we are entering one of the most iconic scenes here the Buddha is summoned to trap him in a mountain for five hundred years till he is freed by the protagonist monk for the journey to the west, where he learns how to calm his carnal urges to murder with the golden headband that was casted onto his head and gave him migraines any time he misbehaved and murdered mortal peoples life.
Monkey King- in the show - While Monkey King and his wondrous adventures are iconic, Lego Monkie Kid allowed us to see a more laid-back and older version of him after the Journey to the west while still having a little twist of the background itself. This time before the Journey to the West Sun Wukong had a brother hood that included Azure, Peng, Yellow Tusk, and his best friend Macaque. It’s quite funny that Macaque is his best friend back then for in the Journey to the West Macaque was murdered by Sun Wukong. After the brotherhood Lego a Monkie Kid still included Sun a Wukong being trapped in the mountain by the Buddha where he breaks his friendship with Macaque. That’s where we see the Journey To The West begin where he later then actually murdered Macaque but this time, in the eye. This knowledge was only shown till season three. Anyways, his first appearance was in the first episode where Monkey King gifts his staff to MK, the Monkie Kid who was an average delivery driver by his adopted parents Pigsy and Tang. Now he is in charge of being the mentor of MK to be his brand new successor while going through his past.
MK- Main character - MK is the main character of the Lego Monkie Kid series with his friends, Mei, Sandy, and Redson. He firstly started as a noodle delivery boy from Pigsy’s noodles that was owned by his adoptive father Pigsy one day he accidentally picked up the Monkey King’s staff unknowingly of only one could be able to wield it and it was him and the Monkey King. This is where his story began from the start. He has certain character development for being a cheery main characters to a very nervous and slightly mature character based on how much adventures he has went through from self-discovery in being the Monkey King’s successor and his origins. However not only has his mentality changed, but his appearance as well. For the average boy we see on season one turned into a monkey celestial appearance similar to Wukong and Macaque’s for unleashing his full potential in season four when fighting Azure from Wukong’s brotherhood in an attempt to save Sun Wukong from being trapped in a scroll he was absorbed in.
THE REST OF THE CHARACTERS - Mei is MK’s best friend in where she supports him wherever he goes while still maintains a slight crucial role to the story. One of them being the reincarnation of Ao Lie from Wukong’s Journey to the West and being an obvious strong girl boss when it came to fighting in her dragon form alongside with Mk. Her most used weapon is a green and white sword with an intricate design from her dragon ancestors. Her background information was that she came from a wealthy family as well as a rich ancestor’s that are dragons including Ao Lie. She was pressured into high expectations by their parents to continue their line as powerful dragons. However despite her strict parents she is outgoing and rebellious.
