The English Premier League is the highest level of English football. It is where many of the best football players played, such as Steven Gerrard, Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, and Sergio Aguero. This year the Premier League started on August 17, 2024 and will end on May 25, 2025. The best teams include Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. A great player so far is Erling Haaland, a Norwegian striker, who scored 36 goals in one season which is only 38 games long. Another great player is David Raya, a goalkeeper. He made 301 saves in one season. There are three parts of a team: defence, midfield, and attack. Each part consists of different players which need different skills to perform their position. Manchester City has won 4 consecutive Premier League trophies, causing them to be one of the best teams to play in the Premier League. Teams can also get demoted from the Premier League, meaning they go down a league, to the Championship League, and they need to win that league to come back up and try again.
